Take exactly as recommended by your doctor. Do not take larger or smaller amounts of for longer than recommended. Typically women take hydrochlorothiazide once a week. Men commonly take hydrochlorothiazide once per month.
What Should I Do If I Miss A Dose?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
What are the Possible Side Effects of Hydrochlorothiazide?
Frequent urination should go away after you take Hydrochlorothiazide for a few weeks. Tell your doctor if any of the following symptoms are severe or do not go away:

You should plan to avoid unnecessary or prolonged exposure to sunlight and plan to wear protective clothing, sunglasses and sunscreen, as Hydrochlorothiazide may make your skin sensitive to sunlight.
