What are B12 Injections?

B12 injections promote more energy and are used in conjunction with our weight loss programs. Vitamin B12 is important for energy production because it helps the body change carbs into glucose. Getting a vitamin B12 injection in Pheonix, Tempe, or Glendale each week can decrease lethargy and fatigue, giving you a more positive outlook. Additionally, Vitamin B12 injections can help reduce brain shrinkage, stress, and depression, because it aids in regulating the nervous system. Essential for healthy and beautiful nails, skin, and hair, Vitamin B12 helps renew and reproduce the body’s cells. It is also important for the digestive system and protects against heart disease, high blood pressure, cancer, and strokes.

Absorbing B12

Absorbing B12 is complex. B12 injections are the best choice for optimum absorption. Injections have a large advantage over diet and oral supplements because they bypass the gastrointestinal tract and allow for direct access to your body’s cells.

What is the best form of B12?

B12 is essential to your body, but not all B12 is created equal. Cyanocobalamin is the most common form of B12 injection. It is a more stable form of the vitamin and is used in our lipotropic injections. As part of our weekly and monthly programs, Valley Medical utilizes methylcobalamin B12 injections in Pheonix, Tempe, and Glendale. It is a more bioavailable form of B12 that can last longer in the body. This added benefit makes methylcobalamin an excellent option for anyone B12-deficient, as it remains in the body’s tissues longer than the other forms on the market.

I’ve been eating healthy and exercising regularly but felt like I needed some extra help. I’ve been going for a month and can see the difference! The doctor I saw was so informative, and everyone on staff was knowledgeable and supportive. The B-12 injections give me that energy boost I need to help with my workouts. Thank you!

What is the impact of Vitamin B12 deficiency?

Vitamin B-12 is often referred to as the “energy vitamin,” and rightfully so. Your body requires this water-soluble vitamin every day for a number of its functions, including energy production, the creation of new blood cells, DNA synthesis, and the creation of myelin – the protective covering that surrounds your nerves and allows them to communicate properly with each other.

If you’re feeling “off” or dealing with some chronic symptoms like fatigue, anxiety, difficulty balancing, memory loss, shortness of breath, numbness, and/or tingling in your extremities (hands and feet), you may be dealing with a vitamin B-12 deficiency. B-12 injections or B-12 spray may help relieve these symptoms.

Research shows that one in four American adults currently has a vitamin B-12 deficiency, and nearly half of Americans have vitamin B-12 blood levels that are considered lower than optimal. B12 injections or B12 sublingual sprays can aid in bringing these levels up to the normal/optimal range.

Who is most at risk for deficiency?

Vegans and vegetarians are at the highest risk of developing a vitamin B-12 deficiency because the vitamin is found almost exclusively in animal products, like beef, lamb, salmon, scallops, poultry, eggs, milk, and milk products. Plant foods don’t typically contain vitamin B-12, but most commercial breakfast cereals are fortified with the vitamin.

Other factors that put you at risk of developing a Vitamin B-12 deficiency include previous weight loss surgery, advanced age, and digestive conditions, like Crohn’s disease or Celiac disease. Heartburn medications that lower acid production in the stomach can also decrease your ability to properly absorb vitamin B-12.
