How Does Morpheus8 Work?

Morpheus8 utilizes radio frequency technology to give your face, neck, and body a more youthful appearance. 

This is an outpatient procedure. Patients feel no significant discomfort during the treatment because a topical numbing cream is applied – anesthesia or IV sedation is not used. The device delivers RF energy through micropins to the skin. 

The RF device has several tips with varying pin counts and depth capabilities. Customized treatments give each patient the desired results. The total procedure time depends on the treated area but typically lasts about 90 minutes. 

How Many Treatments Are Needed?

It’s important to note that Morpheus8 can be combined with other treatments, such as PRP or Forma, for even more dramatic results. 

Collagen will tighten over time and patients will notice an improvement in their facial appearance (or whatever area was treated). A Morpheus8 treatment or series of treatments can truly make a patient appear younger. 

Post-Treatment

Microneedling with Morpheus8 goes above and beyond to affect deep adipose tissue. Therefore, the skin may be slightly sensitive for a few days. Generally, we encourage patients to refrain from wearing makeup for 1 to 2 days. Occasionally, mild redness and swelling may occur for a day or two. These side effects are typically mild, and they diminish quickly. 

Patients should moisturize the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. We recommend patient use a good, broad-spectrum sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing their future risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow the aging process.

Although results are visible within a few days, most noticeable results appear after three weeks. Improvements continue for up to three to six months after treatment. Once you experience this treatment for yourself, you will achieve some noticeable results, lasting approximately one year.

10 Ways to Keep Your Skin Wrinkle-free and Vibrant

With healthy and youthful skin we feel more confident and beautiful in our day-to-day lives. Follow these tips to keep your skin wrinkle-free for longer as you age.

It’s inevitable that our skin changes as we age. We produce less collagen and our skin loses its elasticity. It also becomes drier which causes wrinkles to develop faster.

But fortunately, there are ways of slowing down the aging process in our skin.

Below are lifestyle and treatment options to keep your skin vibrant and wrinkle-free without invasive surgery. 

Start making these part of your routine early to prevent and slow down the aging process of your skin.

1. Stay hydrated

Hydrated skin is healthy skin. 

One of the most important things you can do to keep your skin looking youthful for longer is to drink enough water every day.

While we regularly hear how important water is for overall health, it unsurprisingly helps your skin stay vibrant too.

Your skin is an organ just like those inside your body. And to function properly it needs water every day.

So by getting enough water, you ensure that your skin works as a protective barrier and maintains its full and dewy appearance.

2. Use a moisturizer

A moisturizer is a cream that helps nourish your face and provide extra moisture. 

One of the most important reasons to use a moisturizer is because it helps keep your skin hydrated and prevents irritation.

There are a lot of factors in our environment that can irritate our skin like dry air and pollutants. 

A moisturizer helps keep a protective barrier for your skin so it doesn’t get irritated as easily. This helps with the aging process because dry and irritated skin ages faster.

3. Exfoliate

As we age, our body also stops being as efficient at removing dead skin cells. This can cause buildup and lead to a dull skin tone.

By exfoliating regularly, you speed up your skin’s process of replenishing cells and promote softer skin with fewer fine lines and wrinkles. 

There are two main types of DIY exfoliation.

One is using a physical exfoliator. That’s when you use a granular scrub that removes dead skin buildup and buffs your skin.

Another is a chemical exfoliator. The chemical exfoliators are a liquid mixture that you dab onto your face to exfoliate your skin. These concoctions are a mix of enzymes and acid-based chemicals that gently but effectively remove dead skin and replenish health cells.

4. Avoid sun exposure

Too much sun exposure damages and dehydrates your skin.

8. Cut back on alcohol

Anti-Aging Tips: Keeping Your Skin Young

Your skin — your largest organ — is your first line of defense against the world. It protects you from bacteria, extreme temperatures, chemicals and pollution. Over time, all of these duties can take a toll on your skin’s appearance, transforming it from soft skin to something more dull. But don’t worry if your skin starts to look a little dull and wrinkled — proper skin care, and the right aesthetics treatments. can help with the anti-aging process, keeping your skin super soft and smooth.

Cleanse Regularly for Anti-Aging

Cleansers remove dirt and oil from your skin, which helps keep you smooth and blemish free. Make sure you’re using a mild cleanser that’s pH-balanced for the skin, especially on your face, which is more delicate than the skin on your body. If you have normal, oily or combination skin, you’ll want a gel-based or foaming cleanser. If you have dry skin, a cream cleanser can provide extra moisture that will keep your skin looking supple and prevent flaking.

Exfoliate Weekly

On average, your skin regenerates every 28 days. This means that dead skin cells rise to the surface, and while some fall off, some stay attached. These dead skin cells can give your face a dry, dull appearance. But, the good news is that they’re easily removed by exfoliation.

There are two different types of exfoliation: manual and chemical. Manual exfoliation involves an exfoliating brush or cleansers that contain little micro-beads that help slough off dead skin cells. Chemical exfoliation uses acids – like alpha-hydroxy or beta-hydroxy acid – to chemically remove the dead skin cells. Dry skin does best with manual exfoliation, while combination or oily skin takes well to chemical exfoliation. Normal skin can go either way.

But be careful not to overdo it. You should only exfoliate once or twice per week, not every day.

Stay Out of the Sun

The ultraviolet rays of the sun can actually change the DNA of your cells, which can cause fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration and even cancer. One of the best ways to take care of your skin is to avoid the sun, especially during the peak hours between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Apply sunscreen before leaving the house, even on cloudy days, and reapply throughout the day.

Drink Water

Water is the most basic of all anti-aging tools. Every cell and organ in your body needs water, especially your skin. When you don’t drink enough water, your body prioritizes giving it to other parts of your body so your skin gets dry, rough and more prone to fine lines and wrinkles.

Dehydrated skin also looks dull and lacks the glow of healthy, hydrated skin. To figure out how much water you should be drinking every day, take your weight in pounds and divide it in half. That’s how many ounces you should drink. For example, if you weight 140 pounds, you need at least 70 ounces of water each day.
