When the temperatures hit triple digits, the last thing you want to do is cook. But even if the thought of turning on your oven or stove makes you cringe, you still need something fresh, filling, and healthy.

Enter Mason jar salads.

They are a summer staple for a few key reasons:

  • They do not require any cooking.
  • You can prep several at once, so you have grab-and-go meals ready for busy days.
  • They are easy to customize with your favorite seasonal produce.

This Strawberry Fields Mason Jar Salad uses fresh strawberries for a sweet, seasonal twist. You can easily make it your own by swapping in different fruits, nuts, or cheeses.

Just follow one important rule:

  • Always put the dressing on the bottom and your lettuce or greens at the top.

This keeps your salad from getting soggy. When you are ready to eat, simply shake the jar to coat everything in dressing.
