What is Pro-Nox?

With Pro-Nox, patients self-administer Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) through a mouthpiece to help reduce anxiety and discomfort during an aesthetic procedure. Patients are in control and can minimize the intensity of their sessions as needed.

How does Pro-Nox work?

The patient simply holds the device in their mouth and breathes in until they achieve the level of comfort and relaxation they desire. Patients remain conscious and aware; however, they feel more peaceful and at ease during their treatment.

What is nitrous oxide? Is it safe?

Nitrous Oxide (N2O) is a naturally occurring gas used during non-invasive aesthetic procedures that can help patients to feel more relaxed and less prone to anxiety. This weak, inhalable anesthetic has been used for over a century in the medical community and is better known as “laughing gas.” Once the gas enters the bloodstream, it acts as a mild sedative to help patients feel at ease during their procedure. Since the gas does not bind with hemoglobin or transform any cells, it can be quickly flushed from the body after a few breaths. This positions Pro-Nox as an excellent alternative to oral pain medications that can impair driving ability and delay a return to normal activities.
